Weird film

Often I have a requirement to satisfy my senses with bizarre unsettling and creepy creations, although im not quite sure why,  I certainly find it pleasing to know that people have collectively come to an agreement that weird is good in order to have produced these creations and this satisfy's me greatly because this informs me that weirdos are not just loners as society would have you believe, there is in fact a sub species out there doing weird things to make normal people wonder.

So here's a pick of three full length films that have made this weirdo happy......

Firstly "The Secret Adventures of Tom Thumb" is a stop motion animation I came across only this evening when watching someones home made video for an Aphex Twin song in which they had used footage from the animation as visuals for the song itself.

Secondly there's "fantastic Planet", a fucked up sci-fi cartoon from the 1970's originating from France but narrated in American English for this version. Animation, ideas and story-line are all equally as harrowing as one another.

Lastly there's "Man Bites Dog"; a dark and surreal film noir docudrama with contains real humans(Belgians) unlike the other two films. Excellent and sick at the same time can only be a good thing.
